This site contains material used in my
classrooms over my 36 years of teaching, material from workshops I have
presented, and solutions to the Calculus AP tests since 2003.
You will find the following sections:
TI-73 Webquest,
Geometry Activities,
Calculus AP,
Calculator References,
Workshops,
Pre-Calculus,
Student Comments, and
Personal Pages.
The two subjects I taught most recently
were Geometry and Calculus AP.
So in the
Geometry Activities Section you
will find copies of such activities as Artifacts, Assessments, Building
Arches, Building Polyhedra, Enlarging a Picture, Exterior Angles, Folding
a Tangram, Geoboards, Student Mobiles, Origami, Pop Up Cards, Big Dogs,
Projects, Shadows, Tessellations, Write a Poem, and Building a Pyramid.
The Calculus AP
section is divided into two parts: The Calculus Activities and the
Solutions to AP tests. In the Calculus Activity Section you
will find a Sine-Cosine Activity, Several Volume Activities, and a
Calculus Book Project. You will also find
copies of labs I designed and
used in my Calculus AP classes. In the Calculus AP Test Section I have
worked out the solutions to all the AP Free Response questions.
Although the questions are not on my site, they are available through the
College Board site. The
solutions for the released 2003 Multiple Choice questions are also
included in this section.
The TI-73 Webquest was added as a result
of a series of workshops held at the Camden County ETTC from 2005.
This page contains many important links to information about the TI-73
Graphing Calculator.
Calculators have been an integral part
of my classroom instruction since the 1980's. In the
Calculator Section you will find many resources for the TI-15, TI-73, TI-84 (TI-83)
and TI-89.
In the
Workshop Section you will find
information about upcoming workshops as well as links to handouts from
some of my past workshops. I have also included copies for some of
the powerpoint presentations for the workshops.
In the
Pre-Calculus Section you will
find a review of material that students should be familiar with prior to
entering Calculus. Each section of this review has a few questions
that students can use to check for understanding. Answers for these
questions appear on a separate page.
In the
Personal Pages Section you will find
information about both Jim and Patti Rahn, Our Pets Page, Lunar Pictures,
and Pictures of the Famous Rock on Route 539.
Enjoy your visit to my site.
