| After you have entered the data in your data editor, set up
a scatterplot, and chosen an appropriate windown you are ready to find a
regression equation (or model) for the data. |
 |
| You need to first return to your data editor, so press the
APPS key and choose the Data Editor.
Choose to open a previously entered list of data. Select the
variable which represents your data. |

 |
| This should get you to your list of data. |
 |
| Notice that one of the choices for the F keys is f5
(Calc). Select this choice. |
 |
| You need to set up several things on this screen.
First you need to select the type of regression equation you want to fit
to the data. Since the data above appears to be linear we will
choose 5. LinReg. |
 |
| Next you need to enter where the x- and y-values are
stored. Recall these were placed in c1 and c2 |
 |
| You next have to tell the calculator where you want the
regression equation stored so you can graph the equation. |
 |
| You are now ready to press the enter key one more time to
execute the command. |
 |
| To view the regression line graphed with the scatterplot
press ‚GRAPH. |
