bulletActivity:

Distribute copies of the arrow on a sheet of graph paper.

First be sure that all students realize that there are 7 vertices on the arrow. Have students label the top vertex A and letter all the rest of the vertices in a clockwise order from B through G.

Students should then find the coordinates of the 7 vertices and record them on the paper.

Students will then enter the x-coordinates in L1 and the y-coordinates in L2. Set up Plot 1 for L1 and L2 using the connected line graph and the dot. (Setting up a Scatter Plot)

Students should press Zoom 4 (Quadrant 1) to view their arrow. Ask students "Do you see what I see?"

Change window to fit the same dimensions as the given graph to produce the arrow in proportion.
