Set the MODE to Mansimp by moving down the the last line and then
cursor to the right and Press ENTER while the cursor is on Mansimp.
Return to the homescreen by pressing 2nd QUIT
Enter the fraction 18/24 by pressing 18 then the b/c key and then
24.
Press Enter.
The same fraction appears on the right side of the screen but an
arrow appears in front of the fraction.
This arrow denotes that the fraction is not simplified.
To simplify the fraction there are two techniques that can be used.
Method 1: Press SIMP and then press the number that represents the
common factor you believe the numerator and denominator have.
You will notice in this case that another arrow appears next to the
simplified fraction. This denotes that the fraction is not yet
completely simplified.
Press SIMP and enter a second common factor.
Notice that the arrow is not present. This means the fraction
is completely simplified.
A second method to simplify
Method 2: Press SIMP and ENTER.
The calculator simplified with the first prime factor that the numerator
and denominator have in common.
The arrow denotes that the fraction can still be simplified.
Press SIMP and ENTER again.
It is possible to simplify using the greatest common factor.
