To help the students think about the numbers on Pascal's Triangle try this card exercise.  Deal out 6 cards.

Step 1: 

Suppose the following 6 cards are dealt out. 

         

Step 2:

As the dealer select the apex card (The card at the top of the triangle.)  How to select the apex card will be explained. 

                   
           

 

 

         
           

 

 

         
           

 

 

         
           

 

 

         
         

 

Step 3: 

Fill in the cards by following these steps:

Add two consecutive cards together and if the answer is one digit put that card down between the two cards.  If the answer is two digits--add the digits together.  Stop when the answer is one digit.

Step 4:
