Real Numbers

Home Numbers Representing Numbers Combining Numbers

As a Calculus AP student you should first have a thorough understanding of all real numbers, know how to work with each category of real numbers, and represent them on number lines.  Students should be comfortable with using each of the categories of numbers and a number sense for the size of any given number.

The first three sections of this review will highlight the categories of real numbers (Section 1), how to visualize the real numbers  (Section 2) on number lines, and how to combine sets of real numbers (Section 3).  will review the names of real numbers, representing real numbers on number lines, and combining sets of real numbers.

Students who find they need additional review should obtain a standard high school textbooks in Algebra I or II or Pre-Calculus.
