In addition to recognizing different types of numbers you should also be able to visualize subsets of each of these numbers on a number line.

1. [-3,2] 
This is the set of real numbers greater than or equal to -3 and less than or equal to 2.

 

2. (4,7) 
This is the set of real numbers greater than 4 and less than 7.

 

3. [-10, 5) 
This is the set of real numbers greater than or equal to -10 and less than 5.

 

4. 
This is the set of real numbers greater than or equal to -2.
5. 
This is the set of real numbers less than 6.
