Making Predictions II

Home Up

This activity uses collected data about a car to study the relationship between data and graphs.  A car manual states the car should get 18 mpg.  Data is collected.  Students are asked to create a coordinate graph and compare the data to a 18 mpg line.  Questions are asked about the data to help students look for relationships between the data and a coordinate graph.  In addition a MPG chart is calculated and a box-and-whisker plot is created to further interpret the data.  A graphing calculator is needed to complete this activity
